Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how NixBlox LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“NixBlox,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our websites (nixblox.app and getnixblox.com), the NixBlox org portal (app.nixblox.app), and the NixBlox Designer desktop application (together, the “Services”).
The short version: we collect what we need to license the software, run your organization’s account, and support you. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data for anyone’s marketing, and we do not show ads.
1.Information We Collect
Account and license information. When you request a beta key, purchase a subscription, or create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and related contact details (including a mobile phone number if you choose to provide one). License keys are cryptographically bound to the email address they are issued to, so we keep a record of issued keys, the associated email, plan, serial number, and expiry.
Organization data. If your organization uses the org portal, we store your organization’s name, settings (such as title-block configuration and export preferences), uploaded images (such as your organization’s logo and watermark), member lists and roles, locations, and invitations (which include invitee email addresses).
Project files. If your organization stores projects in NixBlox cloud services, we store those project files (drafts and published revisions) and related metadata (project names, who created or updated them, revision labels, file sizes) on your organization’s behalf. Project files are your organization’s content; we access them only to operate the Services (for example, storage, integrity checks, and support you request).
Payment information. Purchases are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd / Paddle.com Inc.). Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; NixBlox never receives or stores your full payment card details. We receive from Paddle the information needed to fulfill your license — such as your name, email, product purchased, and subscription status.
Technical and usage information. The desktop application contacts our servers to validate licenses and, for organization-linked installations, to sync organization settings and projects. These requests include your license or account identifier and standard technical data (such as IP address and timestamps) in our server logs. The application is designed to work offline; it does not require a constant connection.
Communications. If you email us, submit a form, or exchange text messages with us, we keep the correspondence. Form submissions on our websites (such as beta access and renewal requests) are transmitted directly to our own infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services.
We do not collect information from the contents of your local project files that are not stored in our cloud services.
2.How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and secure the Services; issue and validate licenses; manage organization accounts, memberships, and permissions; process transactions through Paddle and deliver what you purchased; respond to support requests; send service messages by email or text (such as license keys, invitations, verification codes you request, and renewal or account notices); improve the Services; and comply with legal obligations.
If you request beta access or purchase the software, we may also send occasional NixBlox product updates by email, as disclosed at the point where you provide your address. Every such email includes an unsubscribe option, and we honor opt-outs promptly. Service communications (keys, invitations, verification codes, billing and security notices) are sent as needed to operate the Services.
3.How We Share Information
We share information only with:
- Service providers that host and operate our infrastructure — principally Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, databases, and email delivery), Resend (transactional email delivery), Microsoft 365 (business email and telephony), and Vercel (website hosting) — under terms that limit their use of the data to providing services to us;
- Paddle, our merchant of record, to process purchases, subscriptions, and refunds;
- Your organization. If you belong to an organization on NixBlox, your organization’s administrators can see your membership details (name, email, role, assigned locations) and content you store in the organization’s cloud workspace;
- Legal and safety recipients, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services; and
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
4.SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile phone number to NixBlox — for example, on a contact or beta-request form, or during a support conversation — you consent to receive text messages (SMS) from NixBlox related to your account, license, support requests, scheduling, and one-time verification codes you request. These messages are one-to-one and conversational. NixBlox does not send marketing or promotional text messages, and does not use text messaging for automated or bulk campaigns.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help, or email support@nixblox.app.
We do not sell your mobile phone number, and we do not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in / consent information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share mobile numbers only with the service providers that help us deliver these messages (for example, our telecommunications provider and Microsoft), and only to send the messages you have consented to receive. Providing a mobile number is optional and is not a condition of any purchase. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5.Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our marketing pages are static sites and do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The org portal uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in (via Amazon Cognito) and to operate the application. Paddle’s checkout uses cookies as described in Paddle’s own policies.
6.Data Retention
We retain account, license, and organization data for as long as your account or your organization’s account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes (such as license validation, fraud prevention, tax, and accounting). Project drafts are retained per your organization’s retention settings (older drafts are pruned automatically); published revisions are retained until your organization deletes them or closes its account. If you close your account, or your organization is deleted, we delete or de-identify associated personal information within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7.Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS across all Services), encryption at rest for stored data and secrets, private storage buckets with signed access, scoped credentials, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use strong, unique passwords for your account.
8.Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Organization members should direct requests about organization-held content to their organization’s administrator, who controls that workspace; we support administrators in fulfilling such requests. For requests about information NixBlox controls, contact us at support@nixblox.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal bases on which we process your information are performance of a contract (providing the Services you or your organization signed up for), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Services), and compliance with legal obligations. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9.International Transfers
NixBlox is based in the United States and our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10.Children
The Services are business tools and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice through the Services or by email.
